EUROPE & THE FSU
There are 31 countries, in this region (15 in Western Europe, 5 in Eastern
Europe and 11 in the Former Soviet Union) that produce or have produced
oil, condensate, natural gas liquids and/or natural gas at recorded and
measurable levels.
One further country (The Faeroes Islands) is believed to have the
potential to produce oil in the short term and gas in the longer term.
There are no OPEC members in the region but Russia and Norway are
important exporters of both oil and gas.
